Lightbulb Show us your pond

So we have koi lovers from all over the world on this forum. I subscribe to koi mags from 4 different continents and I've learned there is a lot of different ways that people are keeping koi. So I thought of doing a thread on ponds of memebers on this forum. I think it can be a resource for newbies. I'll try to keep the format simple, and if somebody has indepth questions they can ask them. So lets limit it to your main pond..

Pond volume: 11 000 USGal (37 000l)
Shape: Formal: 23 feet x 8 feet by 8 feet deep.
Constuction: Re-inforced bricks and fiblre glassed.
Pump: Pedrollo HFM4 pump: 12 600 US gal/hour
Filtration: Two 4' bottom drains with airdomes to gravity fed settlent chamber: 3 x 3 x 8 feet deep. Then pump fed via various maifolds to:
9 feet trickle tower with ceramic media.
2 Vortexes filled with 400l of aerated K1 media
1x 3 stage Bakki shower
1 Protien skimmer
2x 55Watt UV's

Erns . . .

A very intelligent and elegant pond build. Really quite impressive.

Not wanting to follow right after your post, I'll just wait 'till later to put ours up.

Here's mine, 6,700 gal, 6 1/2 feet deep.
two 4" BDs to 500 gal vortex
vortex to two 200 gal fluid beb filters with 5 cubic feet bio flo 9 in each
Fluid beds to superfalls pump flowing 5,500 gph to DIY bead filter
bead filter back to pond through three 2" lines to three TPRs, two of which have 40 watt UVs, third will have propane inline heater

Skimmer to 6,000 gph pump to a 4 tray DIY shower with 16 cubic feet lava rock, this gravity flows back to pond to waterfall.
