Let me first say thank you all for coming to my fish's rescue...second some of the fishes had developed a pink spot which i believe is an eternal attack( those spots have gone away since the time i have started with the three pp treatments now they have no pink spots) the few fish that actually had a cut or two had got fungus (sap) on the area of their cut i was doing the spot treatment and giving them shots of amikacin they have since past a way....i lost one today with no signs of sap...i have treated them three times with the pp they have not been in my pond since this all started i am managing them inside at a controlled temp of 83f, I have enlisted the help of one of my koi friends who has been in the hobby for 27 years with great success, but again he knows a lot but not all as he has never had a sap attack like mine...i am currently getting my pond redone to over clean my pond its total rate will be done twice an hr i have added sand filters ( which i converted to media filters to act as more boi filtration and mechanical filtration)and added two more settling chambers....i am here telling you my problem cause i have lost so many and hoping to find something better to do for them....today the one that past was one of the ones who got weak from the pp treatment number three.....he was weak then and two days later he has passed...there is no sign of sap on any of the remaining fish i have left...out of 55 i have 17 left ......i don't see any parasites but that may not be true...what else can i do for them my ammonia i keep stable with chlorimax so it is goo the water is stable at only .50 ammonia with no other problems i have a constant flow of new water coming in and old water coming out there is constant flow of water in my pool which they reside in to i can make sure they are all ok....i was told to keep it heated and bring salt level to .3 percent...and see if they stay alive...but again there is no sign of anything else wrong with them...but i am still worried i know for a fact it is not khv they were all quarantined and checked before i got them....so now what do i look for....i know its not best to keep them in which is why today everything outside will be finished and turned back on...i am gonna run bleach through it after i get it filled to make sure i kill everything it has been stagnant for two weeks i will drain first then fill then bleach then empty then fill then dechlorinate it and after that run it for a week to get it going with help from adding in good bacteria...outside part im not worried about though with all the stuff i have added to ensure better water quality i am sure it will be a much safer place for them...when i go out today to finish ill take pics maybe you all can suggest something better or maybe who knows this time i got it right...but as far as my wet kids go...do i do more treatments of pp i was told 5 treatments is best...i love them all so much to the point i have risked my own life for them on more then one occasion...i have shocked myself a few times when a cord got wet to make sure it didn't hurt them...but the outbreak that went through my happy clan of koi was crazy i cant express it enough that it was nothing then all of a sudden over half had the sap so i figured they all will have it cause of how many just showed up on so many...i want to help them not hurt them any more but i need to make sure it is gone i can only see whats on the outside nothing on the inside what should i look for i can make them sleep to look at them better i have learned and used the method many times but till now after having had koi for ten years i have never had anything this bad...what do i do??? and yes the test for sap on the ones who has had it was positive by a fish vet who told me to do the 5 treatments of pp and after heal on their own with salt treatments after...you all tell me you have had more experience then me and i only want whats best for them.....-jo ps i have no pics of sap cause all that had it have died, i can get pics up close of all that are left but you will see nothing but none sick looking fish....and it might stress them out a bit(which i don't wanna do) Keep in mind that i had had most of these koi forever and nothing has ever gone wrong till this year...i have always done right by them, i do for them more then myself. i love them with all my heart and this is not what i wanted for them...they are worth more to me then money...they having made me feel better on days when my life was tough....i lost one of my real children and they have some sort of way made it easier for me...i care for them like i do my real kids....so please understand that i might have not done everything right in the past month to help them but i am trying to do it by getting all kinds of help ...yes maybe yo all think i have to many but i have always had a crystal clean pond with no bad tests ever till this year.
