Luna....our first SFF Sanke

This is one of our SFF Sanke, we have 3 SFF Sanke.

This Sanke is purchased by my dealer on the auction 0n 17-11-2005.
She is born in april 2003 and she is from the bloodline Apollo.
We bought her in 2006 as a sansai, she was the 60 cm.
She is now 4 years old en 62 cm, so she is not quick grower

But we still love her anyway

What do you think of her?

gr,
Fukarin

This is gonna sound odd coming from a matsunosuke sanke fan but i like the smaller amount of sumi for a change. It's a very good looking koi and quite competitive if you care to show. Am surprised at the size, as perhaps you've
maxed out your pond's population density. While I appreciate a nice big 27-30 inch koi, the reality is they're a handful to handle. thanks for sharing.....
when it comes to SFF sanke bloodlines, I'm a fan of Wakashoryu. Ever see their ochiba that's over 105 cm?

Thank you for your comment Dick of this Sanke,.
I'm also a fan of Wakashoryu, the sanke in my avatar is our last purchase from last saturday really. She is from Akizakura and a male from Wakashoryu. She is born in may 2005 and on the auction in march 2006, she was 40 cm.The picture from the avatar was token in Japan in november 2006 she was then 59 cm. We messured her saturday and she is now 61 cm.

This lady gets very big in the future, I'm sure about that and not only because she have a very big big appetite We have 9 koi in a 30.000 liter pond, so she get the space to develop..I will place a beter photo later from her, she has now a little more sumi than on this photo.

So you see, she has also very little sumi, thats wat we like, we don't like the heavy sumi patches you know see on modern Sanke. We prefer less sumi than a lot of big sumi. But that is afcourse taste in the eye of the beholder..

well you certainly have the space to raise your koi! Sometimes koi stall their growth and then really grow. A famous matsunosuke sanke that won the all japan show was almost given up by it's owner cause it just refused to grow and while under the care of toshio sakai. Then all of a sudden it took off?
I'd love to see a picture of your pond when you get time.
