New Shiro

Please comment, good or bad. This is a learning experience for me. 18 inch domestic bred female. Bred by a hobbyist friend of mine.

How old? The body looks pretty good. The tail could be thicker. The shiroji on the body seems a bit yellow. The sumi doesn't have the nice lacquer look but that's ok if it's still young. Some of that depends on the bloodline.

Don't knopw thw blood line Dan. She's 3 years old. The picture was taken just out of the bag so the yellow is from stress.

Sumi, is pretty heavy on the front half, No sheen on the fish, Shiroji is pretty yellow, Pattern is not balanced enough from front to back, way to much sumi on the head for me.

Can't do much for the pattern, I also thought to heavy in front, or to weak in back. But I'm hoping in a while the color will improve. I couldn't pass it for a hundred bucks.

For that price it is worth the learning experience.

She looks good as a domestic bred, I think.. although it can't be compared to top level. Enjoy

Steve . . .

I agree it will be a good learning experience to see if you can bring this fish around. And if not, you can always 're-home' her, too.
