6.6 magnitude earthquake hits just off coast of Niigata, Japan

Hope everything is all right there. It caused small tsunamis.
Here is a link..
Reports of 2 deaths, and 200 injured. Small buildings and properties damaged. Lets all hope that the cradle of nishikigoi wasnt hit.

thanks for the heads up. I hadn't heard of the news yet so was glad to have a link. Sounds like all are ok but had to create some anxious moments.

I really hope things are ok. Man earthquakes hit niigata quite often...well they hit california just as often. Not too long ago, an earthquake hit lafayette.

Update!

New information from different source.
2 People died, and 200 injured.
Damage to buildings reported.

Heard a nuclear power plant was effected and radioactive water is spilling into the ocean...
