Koi Kichi, the hardback went out of print years ago. If on back order, you are going to have to wait a very long time....the terms "pifs fly" comes to mind. The soft cover version is still availablke out there as are some "used" versions of the hardback.

Koi Kichi Softcover

I would like to be able to buy hardcoverd books, but as of now I would prefer to read Koi Kichi ASAP. So, I have decided to purchase the version in softcover from Mystickoi.com . It was a very affordable $45 +tx & shipping. But I can afford this now.
I am putting the Koi 2 Kichi hardcover on my list for Santa.
Hope this helps.

Steve

Thanx for the clarification on your post.
I am currently reading your article:
" It's a System Part 2: The Shell ",found in the magizine, KOI USA Vol. 31 Issue 6.
Its another must read for anyone new to Koi Ponds,(KOI USA Magazine - July/August 2007, Volume 32, Issue 1) is the link for anyone interested. For back issues call 949-548-3690. By the by I will be using this periodical for reference in the future. I guess what I am trying to say it isn't like some other magizines where you read it then toss it.
Between your article and your post this has helped.
It is becoming more apparent that I maybe waiting longer than I first anticipated before I get to put shovel to dirt. But at least I will feel as if I have done my homework!!
Thanks Vince

The series, "It's a System"

It is actually a 6 part series.

Intro (March/April 07)
Shell (May/June 07)
Mechanical Filtration (July/August 07)
Bio Filtration (Sept/Oct 07) at the printer
Additional components (Nov/Dec 07) in proofing stages
Bring it all together (Jan/Feb 08) in writing stage now

Hi Everyone,
I hope I am not showing too much of my excitement about this new adventure I am going to undertake, but, WOW I just recieved my softcover copy of "Koi Kichi " by Peter Waddington from, Koi Supplies - Water Garden Supplies - Mystic Koi and Water Gardens, what service!! It's been maybe a day. I'm lucky that I live in California!

Thanks Bill!!!

What a beautiful cover. What a beautiful book. I don't know what I was expecting, but, for those of you who are a little apprehensive to spend the $'s for this book because it is in softcover let me assure you the full color glossy pictures throughout this book are incredible and I just skimmed through the pages. It'll give me some great direction.
Now I don't know if I can wait for Santa to bring Koi2Kichi. December seems like a long time away!

I just got a book from my friend who just came back from japan.
My brother said it was called "Nishikigoi Manual" and it had something to do with Diseases of koi too!
I was wondering if anyone has heard of the book before. My brother is supposed to take a picture of it and all, so hopefully I can get a picture of it soon
Please let me know if you had heard of this book before.
