With a resounding "THUD," it appears that the door has closed on yet another koi board for cub reporter John "HA" Hawley. This evening, July 25, 2007, all of HNN's (aka Hawley) posts mysteriously disappeared from the Nishikigoi International internet bulletin board. When contacted for comment, Nigel Caddock, owner of the board, publisher of NI Magazine and author of "Still Waters" simply stated, "what the feck is the guys problem anyway??"
This makes the 4th Koi board that has slammed the door shut on an individual viewed by many to not only be a detriment to the koi hobby, but someone who does little in researching facts, misquotes others and twists statements in an attempt to sensationalize events and/or defame others.
As a side note, the NI board is one of the few un-moderated koi boards and in its near ten year history, Mr. Caddock has only had to interviene 2 prior times to ban individuals whom he, even with his tolerance, has viewed as detrimental to the NI board.

Cudos to you Mr. Caddock.

Hawley response to NI banning by changing the subject to VHS, apparently attempting to hide and misdirect readers onto a totally different subject that wasn't even mentioned or elluded to in the original story. He once again fails to address the facts concerning the incident.
One can only imagine how this story will unfold. Stay tuned, the koi world wants to know!

IPPCA is a Koi Board or Koi Boar? John Hawley? I thought that guy was into watergardening not koi...

In a bold move, John Hawley, aka koicluboftheair, makes unsubstantiated allegations that others "conspired" to have him banned from NI. Hawley states:

Quote: Was your request for removal merely because you wish to demonstrate your power and influence?

Hawley, in apparent denial over the fact that his own actions of misquoting and apparent twisting of facts led to his own dimise on NI has retreated to his apparent "safe house" on the IPPCA forum where this type of behavior is apparently allowed to continue.

In further news, Hawley demonstyrated his additional lack of journalistic integrity when he doctored a picture that he niether had permission to use from the photographer, owners, or even the subjects depicted.
The Koi world will wait with baited breath as this breaking story unfolds.
