Pls take a look at this showa. At 19months old and 55cm,she sure looked bulky and I have never seen a showa like this at this age in my koi keeping career.I find her body structure very interesting and keep trying to figure how she will look in 3years time!Maybe someone have seen 1 like this before??

Holy Moly, it looks like it is going to explode. It is as if it has the body of a lager Koi and the head and fins of a smaller Koi.

Russ,
At first I thought she have a short head but after looking closer and from side ways,I noticed that the head is thick, porpotion and high(hope thats how to explain). If you see her in person, you will know what I'm talking about.Superb Fish!

I know that pictures are not really the way to judge a Koi. What about the tail, it looks too thick.

Yes very thick! She was swimming in a pond together with a 85cm Ogon, and her tail is even thicker than the Ogon.

I guess the question would be,"Will she grow into the tail?"

That one really appears too bulky. The body is so thick it makes the head appear small. Could this be fixed by cutting back on food? Maybe she's just the chubby kid at the buffet? It will definitely be interesting to see how she turns out!
