I'm sure your pretty happy with the progress. She's grown well, kept a nice shape, beni has held up and still some sashi indicating she's still finishinhg. I think you have done very well by her. The pattern is nice, pretty much "bread and butter"....thanks for posting

Thanks Dick for your comments. There is 1 thing that I would like to ask. This koi have bulk up nicely and going into her 3 year, but sometimes I hear ppl saying that if the koi bulk up too much at this age,the koi will not grow large in the future. Is that always the case?

Imposing pattern for imposing body. The quality of the beni is very good and it has improved greatly, I see more improvement yet to come. To me pattern is not an issue and is well balanced on the frame of the Kohaku.

Is there any thing else needed to take this fish to the next level? No, just keep doing what your are doing and you will have a fine Kohaku in the future.

My opinion on this question is that people rush to get a fish to grow. If the fish has the genetics to grow it will grow. From what I see of the bone structure I think the fish will grow big without having to get into that feeding heavy mentality to force something that will naturally come anyways.

What is your feeding regimen?

Oh okay...I wouldnt feed no more than the fourtimes a day you are feeding now. All the products you are using is high in protein especially the Izeki paste. Just stick to what you are doing now and I think you'll still achieve good results...

Hi, Koimann.
For real Jumbo, Yes. but there 're always exception....
I think that a kind of slender body shape would be better at that age for Hoshikin...but Good luck !!

Attached picture : one of the most ideal body conformation in the history of Nishikigoi....the famous Beni goi, 113cm
