Sakai of Hiroshima Showa Tosai

I was just looking at koi websites on the internet and came across this 10" Sakai of Hiroshima showa tosai that is being auctioned. Not that I would buy this koi but I just thought I would ask for your guys' feedback just to learn and pass the time at work.

I like the 'sparkle' in the Beni. I like the pattern. Basic body shape is alright. But, it has a male-look to my eye. For a 10" tosai, I'd want better shoulders. I don't like the pecs, but OK motoguro. I'd enjoy raising it if the price was such that I'd not think it a waste to give it away after a year or so. I'd not 'invest' in it.

I feel not really comfortable to say too much in here but I would say the beni is a typical for S...../(Hiroshima).
If the fish were 16"-20" with that Beni at 1 year old, it would be acceptable for me.....

But it's always depend on a price..

Some of my friends bought some pretty high class showas from this breeder while at their farm,
but they never really turned out well which surprised me. These folks also bought a few ISA showas in the same price range and they turned out killer.

As far as I know, that breeder has 2 different type of oyagoi. one for long game and the other for short game....
Isa has much small number of oyagoi ...(about 10 for Showa) but all of them are for lomg game. Their Showa will grow to jumbo !!
