Sorry for your loss!!
Your right about how most of us feel about all animals that are in our trust. Thanks for sharing your thought too.

Aquatori,
I have a few pics of the pond, but mostly good angles. Some are too large to upload.

MikeM,
I keep good track of what goes in and out of the pond. And notice things that may be harmful to the water. I recently saw a pump bottle labeled "pesticide"... for orchids. I lost a white giant gourami when I was younger to pesticide. That one I knew for certain. My Dad still hasn't owed up to it.

Dude,
Of course it would be some sort of poison.

Thank yous for your comments.

Good luck in finding the cause to the deaths. Anyways, what part of the world are you from?

Sorry for your loss,

Have you added any new fish lately? As one of my too many to list here mistakes I have made while learning this hobby, was adding new fish without (eeek!) any QT. We had just moved in and got this inherited pond that was here. Some of the fish I bought had bacterial gill disease and it killed off the healthy ones I had. The whole pond ...gone... Big oopsy!! They all had sudden deaths, 2-3 a day for three days. It was not until I started examining all the gills did I see the blowouts and hamburger color, on every dead fish too. That was a while ago, and now I always QT every fish for 30 days.
Just a thought, maybe a new fish was added or, if no new fish, probably the other obvious three; either a poisoning, a parasite or bacterial infection. Just a thought. Best of luck.
Carrie

We haven't adopted any newbies in about 2 years.
I was really happy with what we have/had.
But with the ochiba gone... the fish are more shy.

Sorry for your loss 3G that's rough losing them suddenly like that. Have you thought about withholding food unless they take it from your hand? I haven't tried it myself, but heard it's a way to train them to hand feed.

Thanks for sharing.
