Koi Nations Magazine a Must Have

I know that the magazine Koi Nations has been discussed in other forums. But to my knowledge it has not been discussed here. Just received the 2nd issue yesterday and just couldn't put it down.

The editor Michael Cox did a really good job with putting this one together. It really enhanced and solidified my knowledge of every aspects of the koi hobby, from our very own DickB's column on kohaku selection to Michael's section on American Breeders to Dr. Roddy's views on biofiltration to Steven Joneli's DIY 50gal barrel filters to Taro's columns on kujyakus to....I can't stop....Jasper Kuijper's views on pump flow rates/loss to Steve Bashi's basement showcase pond...........There are so many other articles by great writers that I can't list them all.

What I like about the magazine is that it targets audiences at different levels of the hobby. I have been trying to add more filtration to my pond and this is the PERFECT issue. From DIY 50gal barrels to Bakki showers to Nexi to bead filters to the new Virgin filter cycling.

I enjoyed the magazine so much that I bought two more subscriptions for friends in the hobby. Please keep the good articles rolling in future issues and my complements to Michael and all the senior writers for putting together a magazine that will broaden the interest of this 'addicting' hobby!

I got the magazine 2 weeks ago(FREE)...pretty informative stuff...DickB's article on Kohak selection is good as well as JR's article...I give it 9 out of 10...the one missing point for not enough koi pics...

thanks for pointing out JR's column on filter size. I think it helps put things into perspective. I like michael's front covers. The entire magazine is graphically nice as far as lay-out. I have enjoyed working with michael and the entire gang and am glad to see that the effort is appreciated.

Your welcome Dick, I still have not received my issues but I was able to take a peek at a friends issue. I met the man resposible for the cover art of the second issue in Denver. He was covering the Denver show.
