Please comment on this koi, i need your advice

Please tell me how bad are this koi, please answer.

They are both 11cm.

Is the Sanke don't have enough sumi? Or the sumi not good?
Is this white ground good?
Is the hi too red or not red enough?

Just tell me all the bad things you think about this koi, please.

Someone told me that for him to pay 7 US dollars to buy each of this koi from me is very generous of him, is this koi that bad?
Please i need your true opinions, thanks!

I'm just not sure how fair that question is on koi that size .

The two things I see , 1) The Kohaku has to much pattern on it's head , but again this could change w/ age . 2) The body on the Sanke looks much thicker/better then that of the kohaku (even at that size) .

Who is the breeder of these Koi ?

Keep Us Updated .

Thanks for your honest comments.

These koi are both 4 months old.

These 2 koi is breed by my friend in Japan and he is a private breeder, so he don't really export his koi.

And most of his breeding stock come from Sakai and Danichi.

So, you think these 2 koi are still too small in size, difficult to tell?
Also, normally koi at what size is best to buy?

For such small ones, the only person's whose eye can really be relied upon is the breeder's. Your friend may not be experienced enough to have self-confidence. Are they worth more than $7? ...I think so. If the Sanke develops as well as it seems it might (I agree with DickB on it!), it could be a very beautiful koi. Some may look at the Hi and think it is fading. I think it is only just forming. This is, after all, just a 4" new born. I would want to hold onto that little one for a full season. I had one that had a very similar 'look' to it, but lost it in a pond catastrophe a few years ago. Here is a photo when some additional size was put on.
