Thanks for mentioning that gin rin showa. I didn't actually mean to post that yet but I'll leave it so no one gets too confused. It was super nice but it didn't win one of the big awards. Attached here is what I should have posted which is the Baby Champ. I must be too tired

Edit-must have been too tired. posted the wrong koi for baby champ. gonna remove it from the post and repost a new set of photos in a bit.

Job Well Done!

Congrats to all who were involved in putting on the show and to all who brought their fish.

And special thanks to Jim, who did both of the above and posted pix for us.

Ok these are a little better. Once again was so swamped today that I was taking photos while doing a million other things at the same time. All in all I had great time and I can't wait for our next show!

I agree, the Kohaku in the 3rd picture has a really nice face. The last showa gives me goose bumps. I am sure Jim has me figured out by now!

ZNA Potomac 14th Annual Show...

Jim,

To you, your committee and to all those who made your ZNA POTOMAC show such a special, warm, friendly and 'inviting' koi show...all I can add is a very sincere,

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

I was also very impressed by the wonderful four trophies which I went home with...thank you also. These are the quality of awards that all koi awards should always be giving out...as they are true koi trophies in the best Japanese tradition of koi show awards.

I have no idea whoever started believing that a Pier One home decor gift items is a koi trophy ... need take a serious lesson on trophy buying from your show committee.

Again, my four are certainly another reason to thank you...and, Mr. Mike Frady, Doris and Chuck Poppe's and all those who worked so seemlessly together to make your show a huge success and a lifetime long memory.

Including the venerable Dr. David Knox...who beat the heck out of everything that I had brought to show. Indeed, his koi are truly breathtaking and awesome, aren't they!

With best wishes and warmest hugs from Sheila and myself,

Your pal

Lee Aronfeld
Grand Cayman

(And, yes. Perhaps, you could obtain and share with us all - the secret receipe told your respected judges Mr. Bob Brudd and Mr. Richard Thomas which head judge Kunzio Narita-san had told them...was his own very secret 40 year Japanese learned koi food receipe which he obtains such huge unmatched growth, perfect colour and always 'healthy' never-never sick or ill koi from it's easy to make - use.)
