Yeah I'd like to come out but my timing is just a little off on this one. I'll be flying into Lake Tahoe on the 11th but there is no way for me to make it out there any earlier so I'm gonna miss it by a day.

In case anything changes, you're always welcome here.

Hotel Reservations

This is just a friendly reminder:

ZNA Nor-Cal has arranged special room rates for this event. To secure this price, reservations have to be made by 10/18/2007. Please refer to the last page of the Entrant Packet for more details.

We have already booked our room. It is a really great price.

I might be in the Bay Area that weekend, well San Francisco to be exact. My question is will there be any group show tours to the dealers in the surrounding areas close to the show site?

I got one last question, is the hobbyist Duke Nguyen(sp?) going to bring some of his wonderful fish I have seen in the Koi USA and Nichirin?

Thanks much,
Todd

Hi Todd,

San Fran is just around 30 miles from the show site. There is no official group show tours to the dealers by the club during the show. But for the last few koi events here, some folks just got together and just do so. We have more than 70 memberships, I am sure some folks will be happy to help out at that time.

There are some very good dealers with high quailty koi in the Bay Area. They are show sponsors/vendors as well. They will also bring some good koi to the event including Peter & Son Koi, Champion Nishikigoi, Genki Nishikigoi, Majestic Koi etc...

Duke has still has some beauties to share. But unable to show this time due to business schedule. Anyway, this show will have many high quality koi. So, make sure to make it... It will be a great show.

time is getting short

I cannot download the packet. I have requested twice that one be sent by mail with no results. If I do not get it in time to send the money--any minute--I won't be coming and certainly won't be there to help.
Watch it be in today's mail LOL.

Carolyn, a NorCal koi show without you, is like Batman with no Robin. Congrats on your GC win in Vegas.

Thanks. It was with a fish scheduled to come to the NorCal show, but the fish intended on going to Las Vegas had an armpit injury and every other fish had been shown recently. In my case, the things not planned for turn out the best--the term "no-brainer" was made just for me.

Reminds me of the story with the Japanese Hobbyist Takigawa(101cm Sanke fame)...Well he had planned to show one of his other big koi at the All-Japan ZNA, when this koi came down with something he had to make a quick replacement so he did and guess what that replacement ended up winning GC...Which fish was that you might ask? It was the Scarlet Queen.
