I appreciate the replies. Aquatori...Can't really evaluate the color/shade of the beni yet. I have only had the koi indoors under fluorescent lighting. After a few weeks of quarantine..I will bring here outside for more photo's and to put her in my pond. It will be easier to tell in direct sunlight.
I am hoping she can give me a little play at a show or two next year. I have a ginrin sanke that won last year...I think this kohaku is as good. She is thicker than my sanke...but, time will tell.

Just for fun...here is my ginrin sanke. Very proud of this koi. Bred by Blackwater creek. I picked this fish out at 3-4inches. Took this picture at 14inches after last winter. She/he is even bigger and thicker now. Here are also development pictures of this koi...from original purchase to this season. Feel free to comment.
