Photos......

The best would be showing gradual development. I have one that was kept (now about 8 months old) which I will pull on the weekend & photograph. I am not in the habit of photographing shiro muji or shiro bekko. So, I do not have before photos. These koi have all been culled. However, I will be repeating the spawn within the next 3 months & when history repeats itself, I will photo the progress.

Dick, interesting that you mention Sensuke bloodline as i have heard it suggested that this is one of main influences in home bred Australian Koi. I dont know how true this is & might just be opinion.

Any of these ring a bell?

Not exactly what you were referring to, but I've enjoyed these articles of Joel's.

I had a tancho Sanke develop some hi recently. It was a pretty tancho...I have just patiently been waiting for the sumi to come up. Then it surprised me with 4 hi spots, each about the size of 2 scales. Not a very pretty fish now I am afraid. I am culling it.
