Algeaside incorperated in Pool liners?

The Intex pool in the photo is a good product - probably the best made and best value in kiddie pool fish tanks. Many people have just filled them and immediately added fish without ill effects. I always soak them for a day and do a complete water change first.

I've used an 8' Intex pool in the past as a QT without any problems. I also converted a 15' above-ground pool into a growout pond over a year ago without any issues. Just be sure to add dechlor...

Lin my Dear wife contacted Intex and asked them about the algeasides. They told her that their liners have a UV inhibiter incorperated into the vinyl, but they do not use any type of algeasides or fungicides in their pool liners. The UV inhibiter does not leach...It's incorperated into the vinyl.
