Dick: It has gotten ridiculous. I had 5 I was leaving in the mud, and then got 4 tosai in the Spring. So, it's 9 altogether.
However, 1 of those is really Henry's. I got her at last Fall's auction when Henry was outbid. I'm holding title to her until Henry decides she is good enough for his pond.

....I'm hoping she turns out as nice as the one you and Henry selected for me.
Tara sent me photos of the original 5 taken before they went from greenhouse to mudpond, but the files have to be down-sized to post here. The "Committee Sanke" grew to over 26" over winter. Think she will reach 30" by October?
Sue: Quite a drive from Minnesota, but I bet you'll have a grand time. [You can fly into Philadelphia and rent a car.] The specialty of the house is Sanke IMO. But, the body on the sansai Shiro that came out of the mud last Fall was just awesome. There are a few motels within minutes of the farm, all relatively modest. Try for the Holiday Inn if you can get a room. Stayed at a Comfort/Quality Inn (I think) last year. It was rather spartan, but clean and inexpensive. A lot of truckers showed up after 9pm and were gone by 6am. No restaurant, but they feed you well at the farm. What I find really neat is that you can see the oyagoi, the siblings/cousins from the same spawnings, and the siblings/cousins from 3 and 4 seasons ago. Plus the whole excitement of harvest... amazing thing to experience.
