7" Ogata Showa....

I got this Showa 2 weeks ago from Champkoi digging in the tosai tanks. It's probably male, but will be a good study at $30.

How could you go wrong at that price? ...Gonna be fun to see how the kiwa develops.

Here is an updated pic of my tosai study showa. The beni is pretty consistant, but due to growth it has streched some what. The kiwa is looking a bit shallow, but I think it is because of the fast growth. I will see how the beni and conformation on the Showa looks after not feeding for 2 months during winter starting in 2 weeks. I also want to get the Showa use to cold water so it become seasonal. The Showa now measures 9 1/2 inches.

Tony,
Nice choice. How can you go wrong?

aquitori,

Very good selection. I like the body on the shoulder, it looks fleshy. Sumi is well placed. IMO, Sumi on the beni will continue stay and later emerge to join the sumi from the face/mouth, thus sumi near the dorsal fin will spray & expend. To slow down its grow, the beni will enhance.

Want to let the fish absorb it's summer fat going into winter, hopefully it will correct the conformation abit.
