LOL...Aquitori: Think of it that they cannot even imagine anybody is so crazy as to bid more than $60,000. ... It is an old auction sales device to post a high price range. It makes folks feel better when they spend 'only' $35,000.

I've been told that the prices are lower this season because sales ( for export business) were so poor last spring. Mark, are you noticing a drop in prices? JR

I can only answer your question based on feedback from others at the auction who have attended previously.

General feeling seems to be that auction prices were higher than previous years but so was the quality of the Koi being offered.
