I find it hard to believe such a great show goes without having more pics of the fish and the list of winners or was Micheal Chua and Carolyn Swanson the only 2 hobbyist who showed fish? Surely the Vegas show gave our esteemed judges enough fish to judge.....

Anyone know if there were fish from Utah. I know there is some nice fish across the border in St George.

Elvis doesn't look to bad considering all he has been through.

We have not locked it in but the first weekend of October has worked well for us. Check our website periodically for updates, Las Vegas Koi Club We know it is right at the time dealers are headed to Japan, fish dealer inventory is low, etc, etc. However, this date does not compete with other shows and it is a Columbus Day weekend so you have the extra day to travel. The key is to book early. Those who waited until the last minute paid 40% higher on hotel and airfare. See you then.

Oh if you only knew! I hear the Ghost left our show and appeared at his old haunt the Las Vegas Hilton where she entertained her parents. Seriously, Janet Tumminia was brave enough to do this and those who were there will tell you it was not only brave but the woman can sing! She came up with "Ghost of Elvis" after trying on the black wigs and opting to go with her natural "do"! You just had to be there!
Hint.... next year Elvis will take a break but only if we can top it!

OK, so I am a little late chiming in. Like Ray said, the Vegas show was one of the most enjoyable events I have attended and I was honored to be the head judge with 2 such capable team members in Ray and Henry. We stayed in synce on every decision (which is rare ).

Now, to clear the air....Cheryl could have come, she was NOT left behind. SHE made the decision not to come along since I was not returning directly from Vegas but had business meetings (and a charity golf tourney) to attend in Denver. That would have meant taking 2 cars to Indy to catch the plane (since she did not want to go to Denver and sit around doing nothing their). Plus, with a 17 year old son at home she thought it wise not to leave him without a vehicle.

My only regret is that I didn't find a box for my Judge's gift, a HUGE engraved Martini glass. Southwest must not have liked it as well as I did, even though it was thoroughly wrapped up. More pieces than I could count when I arrived in Denver Sunday night.

The Koi show was so much fun that I didn't even realize until I got home that I didn't even put a quarter into a slot, let alone play any blackjack. Great show, great people!

Steve

Oh, and if Kari calls me "Mr. Childers" again, I am going to...........well, going to do something.
