Just look at the best pattern koi in the pics with super high quality those are the ones that might hit those digits..But the one previous year the auction prices were very cheap...so it all depends.

Auction Video Clips

Hi All,

Just wanted to let you all know that video clips have been put up at Momotaro's website. You'll get a better feel of the koi from the clips.

The most I saw go at the auction was $15K....For some money grows on trees and for others we are left wondering when were getting paid next.

Like the body and skin quality too on Showa #4, but can not get pasted the shape of the pecs. Lead ray has a bent to it.

Can anyone advise on Sanke 9, or recommend any snake?

All of the fish for auction are very nice. Sanke #9 does not appeal to me because of the pattern. I prefer the steps to be along the back, wrapping like a saddle. I do not think #9 will be as impressive when it is grown. I think #17 and #18 are excellent, although I do not care for the way #18 moves in the short video clip. But, the clip is so brief I do not think it is fully reliable. Since this is an auction for dealers only, most of us can only wish we could see them in person.

Thanks for the reply.

In fact, I just noted that many of the snake dun have heavy wrap of the hi to the lower half.

Will re-look at them again.
