I subscribe to koi USA and Koi Nations. Koi USA has improved greatly since Steve Childers has been on board and I enjoy it even more now. So far, Koi Nations has proven to be a nice addition to what is available for the hobbiests and I really enjoy this magazine also. I'm hoping they both do well in the future. I think the hobby benefits with more information available. By the way, I also subscribe to Koifix and love it. I may be in the minority but I would also subscribe to a third quality Koi magazine if it was available. I think there is enough room in the hobby to support both mags. If both magazines continue to produce quality content, then if we as hobbiests let one magazine become "unsupported" and it falters then it is our loss. From what I see both mags are deserving of our support.

what is the Koi Nation's website. I wonder if there is a subscription for overseas hobbyists. I already get Koi USA so it will be great to see a different perspective.

My criteria

All,

Since my name has been mentioned, I'll weigh in:
My criteria for judging issues relating to koi things outside my own back yard (literally) is usually simple: Will it benefit the hobby substantially more than it hurts it?
If yes, it's likely good; if no, it's probably not (and I'm the sole judge when forming the opinion).

Cheers,
Spike Cover

PS, in my back yard, the criteria is: Will it make me happier? If yes, it's good.

I see absolutely no reason why they are in competion with one another. They complement each other. One is USA oriented, one is international oriented. And they come out in alternate months. Hurray!
