Matsunosuke Tategoi 3 yrs ago and Today

Understanding how to pick a future fish takes years of understanding and anticipation.

This showa was purchased by Sharon at auction 3 yrs ago, during the fall harvest in Yamakoshi and imported 4 months later. She has resided in our pond ever since as changes occured.

At auction conformation was outstanding and is still quite impressive. The beni was soft and thick with sumi spots evident 3 years ago with more lurking underneath. As you can see in the before and after pics, this koi has matured nicely. When purchased she was about 14 inches, was shown in Portland this year and took best of size 5 at just under 24 inches.

Hi Dan, do you have a better pic of the bodyline of the Showa? I want to see the bone structure of the head.

Here you go, three pics of the same showa at different angles.

Very nice Showa. The sumi that is coming up looks supreme. This Showa looks to be 65% in it's development.
