Dick-

As you say, koi is a crop.

My report on Marudo's crop is that is had a lot of Kohaku and a lot of Showa, very few Sanke this year. I think the kohaku crop is better than the showa crop in size and quality. I'm speaking only of nisai as there is way too many un-culled tosai to make a judgement on those fish.

Hiroi(yozaimon)- very heavy on the Goshiki crop. Very nice quality. Unfortunately I wasn't looking for a goshiki this year.

Nogami- not a lot of fish available.

Many more mud ponds to harvest as of Sunday, October 28th.

Weather must be very good this year for some late harvesting. Usually the best mudponds are harvested last.
