I heard earlier that they had did a 100% evacuation in fallbrook, I sure hope Takemi ( california koi farms) is safe. And all our other friends in all the surrounding areas. We leave about 50 miles from all the fires here in Socal, and I am watching the ashes falling in my front yard from my camera's right now. Our cars have been covered with ash for the last few days. Our thoughts and prayers are with all those in the fire areas.

Lots of ash fall here -- no matter which way the wind blows we're surrounded.

Also, lots and lots of dust, pollen, leaves, seeds and twigs from days on end of unrelenting, powerful wind. Thanks to skimmer baskets, and bottom drains, very little has had to be netted out.

Fallbrook remains evacuated. Unfortunately, Takemi's business lies in the heart of the burn area, but I have no idea if it survived or not. The current estimate is 500 structures destroyed in Fallbrook. Here is pic i took last night looking south from my house in De Luz to fallbrook.
