You purchasses some fine koi Erns, my compliments for that. The price for our Yamato includes also the stay in Japan, but you we can still decide to let her come over...there is afcourse a risk to let her stay in Japan.
We bought last june a Sanke from the Akizakura line, when she came out of the pond in october 2006 she was at the age of 16 months 61 cm, she was last october 65 cm and her body improved more. She is now 2 years and 5 months old. Not bad for a dutch pond don't you think !She has little sumi spots, we prefer that more in a Sanke, we don't like the heavy sumispots you see nowadays more and more, but that is afcourse a personal thing...
The sanke on the photo in the blue tank is from the Open sales from SFF, we bought her with 18 months and was 58 cm, she is from the Shobu line from SFF. The photo is of august 2006, she was then 65 cm, she was in october 2007 71 cm.
In think your nisai sanke will grow fast in your pond, I'm sure about it
Its very interesting to have a koi in Japan and a koi in your own pond this year, that's a koi hobbyist dream
A lot of luck with your koi this year Erns
I will do that Dave
Yeah the big ones are very expensive indeed. We feel very fortunate with our Yamato, we want for a long time a sandan Kohaku and now we strike 2 claps in 1, a Sandan Kohaku from Yamato!! gr, Ingrid
