Hopefully Henry got a good shot. If not, Bob Brudd did, and in due course we'll have it.

Well Mike, nice "tattoo"...

I had to work late so I just now got started going through my photos from Sunday. Just a teaser, here is Mike's Sanke that has JR's dollar stressed out. Yonsai and already 29". She has the body and bone structure to easily reach 85cm. Her beni is thick and has several years before it finishes.

Mike's sanke is really looking good, Henry. I sure was happy to see how it's coming along. Glad to see Jim's dollar is in jepardy (many times) I knew it would, was just a matter of time....

Good shot, Henry. And it captures that 'golden wash' on the Beni that comes from the high lustre and Matsunosuke gin.

You and Dick so exceeded yourselves in selecting her for me... just two years ago, seems longer.

Mat & Joe & Ross & Bobby & Jen & Tara.... and the spry ol' lady that frees up their time by walking the ponds... all deserve to be proud of their accomplishment.

Pretty interesting Sanke, it shows magoi genetics. The shape, the bone structure and the type of beni....The fish has a long way out before things come into place.

I would not doubt if it does have some magoi. NKF has several parent Koi that are from Toshio Sakai's magoi line. The parent stock for the Sanke I posted in post #1 (which I did buy) are both from Sakai's magoi line.

A serious fish, one that will be fun to watch race the clock until JR's offer expires. Say: When is that again?

My understanding is 2010 but I do not know if it expires Jan 1st 2010 or Dec 31st 2010.

OK, time to post my Sunday photos. First up is something a little controversial. NKF experimented a little this year with trying to add more appeal to watching the pond pull (as if it needed more). How do you improve on Koi coming out of the mud? Just like anything else, you add some hot chicks. The cutie in the pond photos below is Cassidy. Calm down guys; she is already spoken for. Bobby and her get married in March.
I did over hear discussions about the upcoming "Girls of Nisei Koi Farm Calendar". I only heard about a few of the calendar shots (Bikini filter maintenance, wet t-shirt culling, daisy dukes bird line stringing, lingerie morning Koi feedings).

The morning harvest was a nisai pond harvest. I did not get any shots of the Koi coming out of the mud as I gave up my up-front gualking position. By moving around I did find a chance for an interesting shot. Also below are a few of the nisai harvested.
