Question pH help

Hi everyone.
I hope those of you down south are safe from the fires.... Anyways, here's a question for you experts out there...What's the right pH for my fish? I tested the pond & it's 8.2......isn't that too high??
What's the best way to lower it? Please help....

As long as the pH is stable at 8.2, it is best to not try to lower it. Koi can adapt to and live very comfortably at nearly any STABLE pH. Trying to lower it can be very harmful and stressful for them.

8.2 all day every day... I'll take that over chemical/mechanical treatments any day of the week.

Note in this presentation I spent time telling folks how to build up ph/kh/gh...not letting them down. Trying to take them down is bad karma as they will go back up with the next water change....unless you spend the time and money to put in RO.
