The conformation of D is not an illusion, it is very good. I think that the water and angles of the Koi in the pictures affect how they really look.

Although the pattern is not as classic I like the conformation and potential on E a little better than D.

B then F and D equal. Past that point the excitement level goes down in my book.

For me, B is number #1. By both a koi show rating and a future rating. JR

usually I pass on these things

as i've seen a million but was quite impressed to see Steve,Richard and Brady
commenting so couldn't resist.
My selection would be B E F

No doubt B has the strongest body and pattern and is the now fish hands down.

I like the flowery pattern of E and feel it's body is nice and face tho appearing to be yellowish may be photo or keeping water.

F like B has good strong pattern and coloration.

I think what this excercise shows us is that while many can recognize quality
and body shape, pattern likes still influence buying ( and keeping) decisions.

I have been to many ponds wirth numerous kohaku patterns and it gets pretty boring if all are type cast to look like B. A good E helps to give some visual variety.
