Mike to be honest

even old timers, once back to japan need a calming influence as most get so hyped up everything looks good to them.

I would love to be there at Nisei Koi farm for the harvest. Not that Mat,Ross and Bob aren't capable but they're pretty busy during that period and that is something I could make a difference with as well.

well, I'm not so happy about losing one of our better amateurs to the professional league!!! But on the bright side, the dealer community will now have a strong ethical voice in it's ranks- so I guess it is a fair trade ( do keep in mind we ** inset Yankees here** just lost Joe Torre to the dreaded LA Dodgers!!!) So the trade image is very fresh in my mind!

Best of luck in your new endeavor, my friend! JR

thanks for the accolades JR. I'm not selling anything ( fish, pumps, food)just my instruction so I don't consider myself a "dealer". I do see it the same as you with Joe Torre tho. Anxiously awaiting news of where pay-rod ends up

That will be an interesting niche then. Hope it works out. Some interesting possibilities as the hobby expands and unfortunately the landscaper advise expands with it. You will have you work cut out for you! Go yankees ( well maybe next year) JR

Question

Is there a president in the Koi hobby for this kind of service or are you the first to fomalize this type of business?

Good Luck Dick. I know that I have enjoyed our conversations on the phone, and I can not think of a better ambassador for koi than yourself.

Jed
Grant Fugita was a hobbiest then he became a dealer/speaker/brokered trips to Japan for hobbiest. Then he wanted to become a judge, so he retired from being a dealer etc.. He use to charge a fee to go to events and speak on koi. His knowledge is legendary and I know very few who can match it. Now Grant is the president of ZNA Norcal club... Things in the hobby seem to always run full circle.
