Based on what I saw yesterday it will be another classic battle of beauty vs the beast. Last night the koi coming from down south looked pretty stressed. Looking forward to seeing how they bounce back by judging time. Here are a few more pics taken as they were placed in the tank yesterday. Lots of surface disturbance and only time for a quick snapshot before the tanks were covered. Most of the koi I took photos of yesterday were at least 30 inches and most were well over 30 inches. The largest was a ochiba that was well over 110cm.

There's a couple of new threads on KoiChat.com

1. Shows the GC and Reserve. A SFF Kohaku and the 105cm Momotaro.

the second shows some general scences incl the judging of the early rounds.
The pics are arriving as I am typing this . 9.30am UK time.

Bern: Thanks for the link! Impressive for such large fish. The Momotaro Reserve GC is so enormous. But, it seems to me that she does not have the 'look' of Momotaro Sanke. The Matsunosuke influence is evident, without the head shape, beni, etc. I've come to expect in Momotaro Sanke. I've probably not seen enough of Maeda's fish. Any information on age of the Sanke?

I've borrowed the photo from your link so folks can see what I'm trying to say.
