Keep black fry and any with red patterns. A lot of the fish will lose black only to come back at a later time. Unless you can see shita sumi on white fish get rid of them. The odds are too great that they will end up mugi.
I have had better results since I started useing Spurilina powder when they become free swiming. Less crooked tail stocks and better gill covers. Plenty of areation. I also mix a high protein flake food with Spurilina and water when the body looks like a fish [1/8"]. keep plants in the growing tanks to give them protection from TOBIES[remove them] I sometimes keep them as long as they are not mugi.
When they are about 3/4" I remove the plants and add .20% salt and keep them at that level for the first year. Its a lot of work and you learn why 2yr olds cost so much.[grin]
