Someone should fax them the question. Although, it if were false it would be a huge waste of time for the breeders there.
Protecting ones business from rumors is never a waste of time.

Hopefully thats all this is and Nancy, Joe or Tony will give us a definitive answer soon so we can put this thread to rest.

Ogawa Rumor

I talked to my friend in Ojiya and he informs me that Ogawa of Kyushu is in fact closed down now and the reason is his farm got KHV.
Not sure if this will be forever, but most certainly will take time to rebuild and the Government will most likely put restrictions on this farm for 1 to 2 years.
Maybe on the whole Perfecture
The Ogawa that I deal with is in Niigata

Yep, he also has a retail store, they brought in some fish, from some were else, infected all there koi with KHV. I was told they will not be re-opening. Very sad day indeed.

Guys

I was at Ogawa in Sasebo three weeks ago, my understanding was that KHV was confined to their Tosai only and fact was our agent and dealer were more than comfortable taking us there and indeed several of us purchased some of their larger fish.

A long term employee Chu Chan was hoping to purchase the farm from Mr.Ogawa, maybe thats still in negotiation, I dont know but certainly hope the farm continues, some amzing fish and koi history.

Regards

Kevin
