New Izeki shipment in at Eastern....They got in Izeki Paste, Izeki Chintnal, Refresh powdered and rock. They got japanese koi nets, floating baskets...etc.

Hi Tonio, what is Izeki Chintnal? I did a google search and did not get any hit. If I am not mistaken, is it a white powdery stuff that's made from some sort of shells? I was down in San Jose a couple of weekends ago (I was hoping to meet you since I heard that you normally frequent Tom's and Kevin's places like a caffeine addict frequenting Starbucks) and Brian showed me a white powdery stuff (illegal, and no it's not cocaine). He said that he mixes the powder with paste food to promote growth and bring out the sheen. If this stuff is not Chintnal, then what is it and where can I get my hands on some? Unlike other brownnosers, your "opinion" is appreciated.

I think I spelled it wrong it should be Chitonal. The stuff is used to aid in digestion and to assimulate the liver to promote better skin quality. I think it is made from crab shell, but can't really read the japanese writing on the bag. I first used it in 2000 when Champkoi carried it so I bought it and Kevin told me he used it in his paste food for his main pond. The stuff works well and you can see the difference in the koi within a week or so. Eastern usually carries it and I think they have in stock. I gave Brian half my bag so he could condition the fish in the big pond at Champ, it is what we call Nishikigoi Cocaine hahahahahaha......I'll catch you some time if you go to Champ.
