The King is Dead . . .

Long Live the King!

Peter Waddington has retired. The end of one era. Perhaps the beginning of another?

As many of you know Tim Waddington and his father Peter started Infiltration as the first koi only dealer outside of Japan over 25 years ago......
It is now time to move on and develop the Infiltration concept for the next generation of European koi keepers.

At Tategoi-koi we are proud to announce that, along with Dennis Wordsworth and Tim Waddington we have merged our day to day operations and from today Tim and Dennis will be working exclusively with the Tategoi-Koi team led by David and Ronnie Lawton!

The high overheads of the old Infiltration building at Golborne were uneconomical and it has reached its sell by date. From today operations will be run from our Timperely offices as part of the Tategoi-Koi brand franchise. This merger ensures the continuing supply of high class koi promoted alongside Tategoi-koi products and services, ensuring the best of both worlds.

20 Nov 2007 - David Lawton - General Manager

I doubt there is anyone in the West that has done more for our hobby. If anyone deserves a lifetime achievement award, it is truly Peter!

Wishing him and Hil a wonderful retirement.

Wishing Tim, Dennis and the rest of the new crew a very successful venture!

Just met Tim last spring in OKC. Never had the pleasure of meeting Peter, BUT, his name was one of the first I heard spoken of highly by hobbyists. Not in the West. In Malaysia, Singapore, etc... His reach has been profound.

I'm sure many folks have great stories of going to Japan with Peter....I never did and now that he has retired I guess I never will....but I did go to the Playboy Mansion with him .

Wish Peter, happiness in retirement...Can't count the times I have watched the VHS tapes that inspired me to keep learning Nishikigoi.

OK Jim, not onlky are you a name dropper, but a picture dropper as well! LOL

I'll refrain from posting my pics with Peter (for now) but relate one of many great stories about Peter. After one of his visits to our home in Dallas, my Daughter informed me that Peter had left her a "present". From behind her back she produced a half full bottle of Scotch! LOL I think my son somehow got ahold of it some years later and finished it for Peter.
