The koi arrive from Japan on Dec 4th. They will be in QT for a month I believe but they will be photographed so we can see them. Yes please post your interest here and Bito so we all know who is going to in the contest. Remember though all sales go directly through Mystic Koi so please pm them or email them etc. Shipping from Mystic Koi to me is generally $90 and thats airport to airport CA to VA. There are a couple people from my club that are members here that will be combining their koi in with mine to save on shipping. I'd suggest trying to do that to save a few bucks if you have some Bito members in your area.

Jim,
I love the contest but have one quick question. When or aproximately when would the fish be shipped out to the contestants from mystic?
Since it's looking like the fish will be out of mystics QT in early january that could pose a problem for some of us taking shipments in the middle of winter.

Well I was hoping most of us on this board have indoor qt's for the winter. Thats where mine will be. It does give those in warmer climates an edge but such is a grow-out contest. Its a good question though and since Mystic is in Socal I will check with them and see if they can hold off shipments to some of the colder climates. No guarantees but I will check to see what it would take to make that happen .

So let's say some of us might enter their fish at a show, do we get extra points if we win BGC? Anyways, I am in for 2.... I like a level playing field when everyone is playing around with the same size fish.

If you're in Sac and Mystic is in So Cal, shipping should be somewhere around $60.
