This doesn't sound like the same thing Bill. Shawn said the fish was pine coned and he did a scrape and scope. He found a bug on the fish and will need to treat it for a week or so.

Maybe it would be better to check it out and PM me.

Pine-coned koi rarely survive and if they do they loose their color and conformation.
Am I gonna get a time out?

Seriously Cmungo,
ya still got time to make em purty...
Would they lose both colors?

Robert,

OK... Shawn was not implying that the koi has dropsy (aka "pincone"). The koi was somehow scraped or bumped during all the netting we've been doing this last week, and had some raised scales on one side. We obviously don't want to ship any koi that we are not confident are healthy, and had hopes that you would simply allow us to treat the koi for a week and see how it progresses. Further, we're pretty sure it isn't going to loose any or both its colors...?

Anyway and as noted, we think it will be just fine... none the worse for the effort, but will not ship it until we are sure. Please know, however, that should you feel uncomfortable we will be more than happy to remove it from the competition and refund your money. FYI - Here is a photo of the koi taken just within the last hour or so.

Kind Regards,
Bill

You can count on that
Mystic will do what they can and won't send it if there's a problem.
