Transportation - O2 or Air

If you are only traveling for an hour or two can you just use air in the bag or does it need to be oxygen. I ask this as a diver I have lots of air tanks and regs as well as my own compressor. As the air we breath is 21% oxygen shouldn't that be enough for a short journey?

O2 ....its the only thing I have used. I would not want to take a chance with anything else.

If you are bagging koi for more than a few minutes I would use oxygen.

Consider that at about 70F only 9-10 ppm of oxygen (.000001%) can be dissolved in water at sea level. At about 6ppm koi are stressed and at about 3ppm koi start to die rapidily.

Compare this to ~21% oxygen in air which is a many, many, many, times the amount of oxygen that can be dissolved in water.

O2 it is

Ok, time to go buy an O2 tank. This hobby is just as gear intensive as diving.
