Hi Eric,
I have asked my brother to translate this for me, because I don't understand Japanese.
As you might have already known, I am from China and my name is Yi.
I have started on koi for only 2 years now and found it worth a life-long pursuit and I am pretty sure most of the people here would agree with me on that.
Cheers!

Yi

That would require some very low stocking. I'd be all the more interested in parentage that such resources were devoted to these.
Hahaha looks like the lawyer won this round Don. Hahahaha.

Yi: Looks like a fun batch to watch so keep us posted and welcome to Bito.

thanks for posting and welcome

The sanke reminds me so much of many bred by Momotaro.
I think the first kohaku will develop beni issues. I like the second kohaku
as a safer bet.

I'm pleased to have you posting here as we don't often get the chance to exchange ideas with hobbyists in china.

Would love to see pictures of your pond and filtration

Must be something lost in translation when "Pls make comments on these three Dainichi Tosai" doesn't mean that these three fish are Dainichi Tosai.

Thanks Dick! As the Confusis says a journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step, I hope this is a start of communcation between the Chinese koi hobbyists with the Western hobbyists.
It is a fairly new hobby in China, at least in my part of China, although it was where the gold fish breeding started about a thousand years ago.

I have noticed the unclear kiwa, or rather, vague sashi of kohaku one, which is a concern. But I am not sure if that's the sign of this particular fish's strong gene in developing beni. I am attaching here two interesting photos, which I happened to discover today from the breeder's thread back in 16/6 when the fish was 38 days old. It was purely a draw of the luck that these two photos were taken and when I pointed to the breeder, he could hardly believe it!
You may see the change in the beni.

BTW, I am not keeping them in my pond yet. They are now kept in a small tank of about 1 ton of water and I will keep them in there probably until next May or June and then decide if I keep them in my pond or put them back to the mud pond.

the lawyer is quite good. I am impressed with his original analysis.
