Nice set up you got there.

You can tell these guys are professional b/c one of them has a knife on his left leg just in case an occasional koi would come by & nibble him.

Is that your indoor pond pictured in your icon? Very nice, lovely effect.

Are you a member of one of the koi/pond clubs in BC?

Kind Regards,

The picture is indeed my indoor pond in my living room. I had it built about 20 years ago. It is 4 feet deep with about 3000 gallons of water including a multi chambers filter. The filter medium are mats and honeycombs from Japan with two big bags of oyster shells. I used to be a member of Canada Koi Club but no longer is. It is nice to talk to our fellow Canadians. I would like to say hello to all the koi keepers in Eastern Canada.

Regards,
Derrick

Great eye. You made me laugh. I must admin I didn't notice the knife. As a diver it's just one of the things we always carry. That said, it's a bit much for a koi pond.

You guys are so funny!!!!!!! I can't stop laughing after reading your posts.
Regarding the hiring of the divers, I have no choice because I cannot swim nor dive. My waterlilies were used to place very nicely around the pond. It was done by two guys who sold me the plants. He is specialized in waterlilies and has the bigger collections probably in Canada. These plants were very nice and big. Since I went back to koi keeping, I have already asked two of my friends to help me to move all the plants to the sides. They had no proper equipments and dry suits. They sure had a HARD time. I dare NOT to ask for the favour again.

Koi Diving

I'm looking forward to getting my koi diving certification. who do I call?

That said I have dove in my pond to check out the fish from another angle, but that's just because I'm a little nuts.
