Noike Hoshikin Kohaku

Some may remember that last May Genki has some Hoshikin tosai for sale that were to be grown out in the mud pond. They are now at about 20"-22" at 19 months. The last picture should give you a good idea of their size.

which one would you pick and why????

it's overwhelming looking at the picure with so many fish so let's break it down. which one would you pick and why???? use other pictures to get better view of each fish.

Wow, they are all so nice! Oops, gotta go get some tissue to clean the keyboard cuz I just drooled all over it! Wouldn't mind having any of them in my pond any day......thanks for sharing.

I am starting to like Hoshikin kohakus b/c I have heard lots of good things about them, but the one thing I like the most is their propensity to not develop shimi. I don't know too much about what causes shimi exactly but I do know that genetics & water condition are the two major causes. Again, thanks for sharing.

Yes, one of them is mine. It's the simple nidan pattern with the slash at the dorsal in the first step to add a little bit of interest. It's marked as #7 in Steve's picture.
