Things to ponder between now and selection time....

BTW, I like #84!

#84 will still be there for you whenever you pic...that is one ugly shiro...
do you own any koi?
the uneven pecs are the biggest distraction..and they are only letting you see half the fish....
of course feel free to pick it and make me look bad next year

Ok MY THREAD MY RULE..if you post you have to be honest and give the number to one of your top five the first time and top ten the second time

This is my third post so I'll go with a dark horse #18..I think that is all baby Sumi and won't be that black in a year. plus it has a great checkerboard pattern

Hardly, you are only off by 2 orders of magnitude. She was Omosako's #1 nisai in 2005 when I bought her. Only he could have predicted that from what she looked like as a tosai.

Selection

Toss #6,#12,#26, #57, #96 badly split pecks, will they heal?
#29 looks nice, solid band at the middle with deep sumi, since sumi developes from the back and moves forward I'd say great potential, nice pecks also. But alas, until my number is drawn........

Having the breeder judge these koi will surely mean that he will include his judgement of the koi's potential in the total rankings. To a breeder judging for today also means judging for potential he see's in a koi today.
