Kagura bloodline

Can someone give me an explanation of the Kugura bloodline, attributes and history?

Hi Bob,

"Kagura" goes back quite a long ways and was made famous by Maruyama. I'm planning to do a full feature on this in the new year.

the left one nicknamed "Kagura" as the original female parent.
What is Kagura ? --> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kagura

the right one was nicknamed as "Kame no Kou" (tortoise shell)
One of the most famous and representative of kagura bloodline kohaku which is still considering as a best beni in the history of Nishikigoi.

Yes, they are still using the bloodline.

There were full reports of Maruyama / Kagura bloodline at first time on the Japanese monthly koi magazine at 2004. so he has to translate them all

Actually, I believe that Brian will go to Maruyama directly and get a full interview of his philosophies on his koi lineage and will share this with all of us. It has been a while and I'm glad to see you back on the saddle Brian. Hope to see more articles in the near future.
