Steve,
SJKoi@yahoo.com is my email address that I set up for Kao when he was helping with my auctions. I don't think his name should be linked to it in anyway except for possibly some old contact info from that time.
Kao is not a bad person. I found him intelligent and reliable. We went our separate ways within a few months. It came down to me putting my foot down about how the auctions were going to be run, and his not liking it. Unfortunately, I made the gesture of having him included in the article that appeared in the latest issue of Koi USA. Once that happened I felt that his actions and mine would be linked and that I had to take some responsibility for such. I loosely monitored his domain, and you could imagine my surprise when I saw his list of Champions. With some help I found the dealer and contacted him to inform him of Kao's claims. I was thanked, and that was the end of that. Then "the koi stop" started posting and asking me questions directly. My hackles sprung up and I assumed I was talking to "koistop". I regret having left a raod map to Kao's site. Though it was meant for public viewing, I felt that the dealer would have had this straightened out in time. If I felt that Kao had actually moved on to selling fish I would have been more public sooner.
On another note, I talked with Rick P. on the phone. Just a young kid from Florida selling koi and dreaming big. May or not be linked to koistop, but I doubt it. It was surreal. He emailed me that he was in his 30's. There is a certain time in a young man's life when he is no longer a Soprano, Rick isn't there yet.
I continue to believe that Kao's intentions were honorable, and there is an explanation for his claims. He is aware of this site and could come on line to explain himself. If he could put me out of business I do believe he would try, but when he was working for me he did an honest job.
