Is it feasible and possible to make your own staple food?

In conjunction with the White Food thread, could you make your own staple food? I make food to supplement the pellets but I'm talking about food to replace the pellets.

If so, what ingredients would you use?

Check the old threads on paste food. Most are intended as the primary food, at least in growing season.

Thanks, Mike. I've used those before but I thought they were fed as supplements.
