Japanese Hanko Character Translations
Above is the link where we had our family hanko designed by Ben Falge.
We wanted to incorporate all of our 1st names as well as our love for Koi.

Very Nice, is there any significance to the two colors you picked?

You can do them in any ink that you have on hand.
We chose red and also blank ink.
Here are a couple fuzzy photos of the actual stone hanko. The carved stone is over 300 years old and carved in China.
The Hanko design is carved into the bottom which took 3 months to do by a gentleman in Japan.
To use the Hanko you add ink to it and then press it on the doucument that you wish to have it applied to.
Ours is HUGE.
I will do some better pics tomorrow.
I will also find the interpetation for you as well.
Also Hankos can be used similiar to what a Notary does here making it a binding signature.
