This is not a ZNA judging seminar. This seminar just happens to coincide with the ZNA presidents meeting being held a the show. Since ZNA opted not to hold a judging seminar, the show thought it would be a good thing to have one anyway and so it from the AKCA judging aspects (not really much difference). So to clarify what is going on here:
1. The judging seminar is sponsored by the show using AKCA certified judge as an insight on judging to those that wish to participate.
2. There is no recognition by ZNA America or ZNA Inational for certificates of attendance or recordings or accomplisments for ZNA judges or perspective judges (i.e. this is just a stand alone show sanctioned judging event, nothing more).
3. Complete details of what will be provided to the attendee to show accomplishment or any kind of recognition I am not sure of. Joe White may be able to shed some light upon this, but I really think it is being offered just as a chance to experience and then appreciate the role a judge plays, why he picks one Koi over another when judging and comparing the two etc.
4. If you have never done this before, you should do it. You will walk away with a whole new view of Koi show judging and where your talents are or aren't. A truly fun experince at a cost that can't be beat (at this level).
