I have begun to refuse raisins in the oatmeal cookies sent to me in payment for membership in the IKCU as I'm not sure some of the raisins received were actually raisins-----

As many of you know, it has been my life long dream since I discovered the hobby a few years ago to form a truly International association of koi keepers interested in koi, goldfish, guppies, mosquito fish, longfin indonesian carps, bettas, frogs, bogs, flowering water plants, Siamese cats, flower horns, marine aquariums, hamsters and gerbils etc., as one great unit for these salt of the earth individuals to have a free exchange of ideas under my flag of International koi keeping. I dream of a day when we can all see gerbil keepers share their experiences with koi keepers in hopes that we will all see that they, and we, are all God's creatures. And in some small way, I will have made my mark.
As the movement grew, I began to realize that 'International' might not be enough of an ambition and even might be too limiting. Certainly with the talented individuals I have surrounded myself with, we could easily bring our brand of open koi keeping to Asia and show what Amercians can do with koi. But then I thought, If this is to be my legacy, why stop at 'International'? So after many hours of behind the scenes discussion with some of the greatest minds in the newbie culture of koi keeping, I/we decided to create a truly unique concept- An Intergalactic koi club of the Universe. And so it was born. The greatest story ever told.
To date I have solicited no one ( other than bakers) yet O how our ranks have swelled! The first 25 memberships were scooped up quicker than a gerbil is drawn to one those tiny stationary wheels! And still more come. Day after day, week after week. We are now up to 131 life time Sapphire Platinum velvet members!
With your help we will become the largest Internet koi association in the Universe! God bless you all, and good night---

JR, servant to the dream ( and consumer of oatmeal cookies)

Also, if you stray from the oatmeal variety, I have it on good authority that blue M&M's in the cookies will get you banned for life.

In preparation for the meeting in March, I am accepting applications for the required "arm candy" for the supreme overlord. Only current boudoir photo galleries will be accepted or Playboy centerfolds (as long as they are within the last 5 years).

I'm so disappointed. Now Bito is suffering from SDBFS. (Slightly Disguised Bottom Feeder Syndrome). Luckily, I got my invitation to the WWKC and know I'll be welcomed there with open arms. (Until I open my mouth.) Ptui. So, maybe sticking with the happy folks in the Cayman Islands (how many?) Koi Club is more my speed. On the other, other hand, I do live in North Florida now........ROFLMBFBO!

Shucks. I'm not eligible. I've no interest in longfinned Indonesian carp.

I do LOVE the art work. I was thinking more of a sliver koi surfing on a surf board thru the galaxy? But it is possible to vote on the pasta issue.
Pins are in the works!

I have been asked a serious question as supreme overlord of the IGKU. One of our charter members writes:
" Please answer how long the lifetime membership lasts."

Dear charter member, as you have paid the cookie fee, you are now a life time member as per our Renfield charter. The terms are as follows:

1) the life time of the IGKU
2) the life time of you, said member
3) the life time of me, supreme overlord
4) the loss of my dollar ( not my 'Brett dollar' but my 'give away dollar' which I put up for seed money)
5) the loss of my focus or underlings or their koi.
6) should the ' Infrustration, home of the all male koi of distinction' franchise take off, I will need to either fold the IGKU, or sell it to the members for one dollar. In which case, I refer you to point 4.

And to Mike who writes from the left coast: " Is there something like a grow out contest?"
Yes Mike, to compete in this world, currently crowded with Internet koi associations, we are planning something 'out of this world'. we are planning a grow out contest for male fish only. The fish will be supplied by Infrustration, Home of the All Male Koi of Distinction.. We will also hold a year end show for these fish and I will be the Supreme Over Lord Judge of the event. The fish will be supplied for free to our charter life time sapphire Platinum Velvet members. Plus a small shipping and handling charge of oatmeal cookies and cash ( see fine print for details). More details to follow.

JR, your Supreme Over Lord and charter member of the North American, planet earth sub-chapter of THE IGKU.

** all free male koi supplies by Infrustration, Home of the All Male Koi of Distinction, will be absolutely free of charge. All male koi are GUARANTEED male. Any female fish should be returned no later than the juding for full or partial credit. All fish are guaranteed to be 8 inches, or less. Shipping charges are based on location and does not include a minimum $199 charge for handling and a $65 fee for the extra long narrow GC boxes.

If the fish are free do we get the processed remains of our oatmeal cookie fee returned?

J. R.

Oh Kind and Benevolent Supreme Overlord of the Planet Earth subchapter of the Milky Way Galaxy Chapter of the Intergalactic Koi Club of the Universe, hear my plea.

As a humble supplicant who desires membership I wish to create a very special Oatmeal Cookie worthy of you and your Arm Candy Entourage. Since ordinary Raisins have been banned I thought a change in special ingredients might be more pleasing. Would a Koi shaped Oatmeal cookie with Red Craisins and Dark Chocolate Chips forming a Sanke Pattern be an acceptable offering to make your humble servant worthy of consideration for membership???

Patiently awaiting your reply... Your humble servant.

P.S. Once Henry C gets the Stargate up and running, will there be an intergalactic pond tour???

Hey, only cookies? How about brownies that are guaranteed to "space you out"?
